Frey Creative Media specializes in simple, custom-illustrated, highly-recognizable vector logos and logo variations that serve individuals, companies, and organizations. We first worked closely with the Department of Natural Resources Management at Texas Tech create a custom departmental logo. With the main departmental logo in place, six additional coordinating logos were needed to cohesively represent all respective degree paths. Range Conservation is the first of the six. For owner Rita Frey, an alumna of the NRM department, the project carries a special significance.
The Department of Natural Resources Management is a community of students, educators, and researchers learning to face challenges and make wise choices about our environment. Six degree paths are offered within the department, including Range Conservation. Logo artwork for Range Conservation aims to highlight the heart of the degree path, 'maintaining the health of range ecosystems so they can continue to be used for domestic or wildlife animal production and recreational opportunities.' These ideals are translated via a vignette designed to illustrate a landscape typical of properly managed rangeland. Several versions of the logo - including vertical and horizontal variations, emblem-only variations, and round variations - were drafted to allow the widest-possible range of use. Rendered in vector format, the logo was built to serve any application.
This logo is part of a larger identity project for the Texas Tech University Department of Natural Resources Management. To learn more about the project and to view all other logos in the collection, please visit the campaign page for TTU NRM.
